Darren Campbell Podcast

The Olympic gold medalist discusses all of the the highs and lows of his life on the release of his biography, Track Record: Darren Campbell.  In this captivating podcast, the very likable Campbell talks openly about what he has achieved during his sprinting and business career. Olympic and European golds, coaching rugby and football stars like Johna Lomu and Andre Shevchenko how to sprint and how he nearly represented Wales in the Commonwealth Games.  On the flip side, life hasn't been plain sailing for the Moss Side boy. Being a part of a gang in Manchester and the murder of a friend motivated his move to South Wales. Suffering from depression following a car crash early in his career and a near death experience in 2018 have all been battles he has overcome.  Moving to outskirts of Newport to train with Colin Jackson and Linford Christie may have saved his life but also his athletics career.... which easily could have been a footballing one! So much mores is discussed in this podcast and Darren's book... his life could easily be turned into a film! Links  www.218events.co.uk
