Heyyy divas! I've been SO excited to share this episode with you!! Last year, I flipped the bird to the church and started breaking out of The Matrix of religious indoctrination. So, this week on The Add Tax Podcast, I’m sharing why I left Christianity and what I've realized during my deconstruction journey so far. I talk about how religion shaped my mindset: from fear and anxiety around heaven, hell, and the devil, to how it impacted my mental health, self-worth, and the way I viewed others. I also get into how certain teachings can discourage questioning, limit critical thinking, and keep us disconnected from our own power. We’re also unpacking the role of religion in control, especially for women and the Black community, and how decentering men played a huge part in me re-evaluating my blind devotion to Jesus. Not all of us are meant to be mothers, and that’s okay. This is about giving yourself permission to think for yourself, trust your intuition, and choose the life that actually aligns with YOU.
