Embrace the Conflict

This episode is all about feeling supported to discover a sense of self outside of expectations and finding a hobby that is challenging to foster resilience and to feel empowered. I have my third guest on the podcast, my friend Amy. I have known her since pre-school and intriguingly we have had many parallels in our lives.  She shares her story of the power of finding a partner who allows her the space try new things, the importance of truly listening rather than responding, and finding an activity that you finding challenging in order to to nurture achievement, build resilience and experience catharsis.

I am so pleased I can introduce my second guest to the podcast @Soleadriftphotography  This episode is all about investing in yourself and following your creative intuition. Mikaela is a a budding professional photographer who is about to come into her bloom who is fascinated by love stories. She believes in the magic and power of photography to evoke feelings and share stories. She realised that she was not completely fulfilled even though she was working a job that she loved as a social worker and found photography as a creative outlet and has been able to turn her passion into a business.  She talks about the importance of having a mentor and refers a lot to her own mentor @ambedophotography. Nature

This episode is really just an ode to nature – somewhere I can really share my appreciation for the change in mood they allow me to experience. This episode continues to explore the multitude of changes that started with my very first ah-ha moment – that I needed to prioritise the notion of progress and forget perfect. This episode will explore an ah-ha moment that I had with nature and its impact on my health and wellbeing.

Indistractable

This episode is all about distraction and strategies to help you to "control your attention and choose your life". Reading Nir Eyal's book Indistractable was in response to a realisation that I was consistently becoming off task when using my phone. He is such an engaging entrepreneur who is celebrating couples and breaking down traditions.  He shares his ah-ha moment on inventing a new market to cater to needs that were yet to be met to create a successful business in a competitive industry. He is changing the face of the wedding industry from being traditional and formal to his rebrand that allowed him to be more genuine to himself and become an entertainer as well as a sentimental and emotional sharer of stories.
