Descripción

“Every Human Lives by Philosophy—Do You Know Yours?” In this episode, we take a look at the way philosophy shapes our decisions, our identities, and values—often without us realizing it. Whether consciously chosen or passively absorbed, the philosophies we live by find a way to define our worldview one way or the other. Together, we’ll attempt to unpack the origins of some common beliefs we have, explore why examining our guiding principles is essential, and challenge the idea of living by unexamined ideologies. From the ideas of great thinkers to the influence of our environment, this episode asks the important question: Do you know the philosophy that has been guiding your life?

Ep. 4 - Objectivity Meets It's Mirror: Subjectivity

Last time, we looked at objectivity, the attempt to see the world as it is, beyond our biases and emotions. But the truth is that none of us can ever escape ourselves entirely. Every experience we have is filtered through a subjective lens due to our limited senses. In this episode, we continue on our walk to the concept of truth: how our emotions, histories, and our desires shape what we see. From casual everyday experiences, like two people during the same rainstorm, to deeper philosophical ideas from Kierkegaard and Husserl, we will be exploring why subjectivity isn't a weakness but a fundamental part of being human. If objectivity is about the world outside us, subjectivity is about the world inside us. And the both of them together would point us toward a richer understanding of the concept of truth.

Ep. 3 - The Need For Objectivity: Seeing Things As They Are

In this episode, we continue in the same thought process by taking a step into the concept of objectivity. What does it really mean to see the world “as it is”? We’ll break down: * The meaning of objectivity and why it’s essential in how we think and live. * Common myths and misconceptions (like the “Humans only use 10% of the brain” myth or the “five senses” belief). * How a lack of objectivity distorts our perception of reality. * The tension between science, truth, and falsification. From everyday examples to scientific insights, we explore how learning to think objectively can help us live with more clarity in a world that often urges us to lead with feelings over facts.
