She integrates this creative foundation with her work in maternal and child health, blending artistry, resilience, and a reproductive justice framework to support flourishing families.     About Leila Lewis   Leila D. Lewis is a nationally recognized strategist, creative entrepreneur and perinatal health advocate whose work bridges public health, community organizing and family wellness. With nearly two decades of experience advancing community-rooted solutions, Leila specializes in building cross-sector coalitions, cultivating inclusive partnerships and designing innovative frameworks that center our humanity. Leila is also the progenitor of Village Mapping™, a mindset shifting framework that reimagines how families and professionals identify and mobilize support systems during the perinatal period. She leads The Toolshed: Workshopping Parenthood Together™, a signature program offering workshops and coaching cohorts that address the real-life challenges of caregiving through a strengths-based, community-driven lens. She is a mentor for survivors of sexual violence and helps people find their voice and connect to their bodies through dance. Whether it's a trauma informed dance class for non-dancers, a dance worship class or a professional contemporary dance class, she uses her own experience as a survivor to create a safe place for women and girls.
