Descripción

In 2020, I’ve seen Arlie gone from strength to strength speaking in local Black Lives Matter rallies and going on BBC radio Norfolk to talk about racism, exploring black culture and highlighting prominent black artists. She is relentless in her pursue of the truth and it really made me wonder what inspired her to fight the good fight. In this episode we talk about growing up elsewhere, living in different countries to the rest of our families, why food is so important in the make up of who we are and explored why 2020 has seemingly inspired more people to want to fight racial injustice. Sit tight because this is going to be a good one.

S2E2: Billy Plane - The art of, knowing you are special

I have known Billy for nearly 5 years now, first as one of his youth leader and now as a peer. He is passionate, funny, with a clear love for life but often misunderstood. I have the privilege of seeing him grow from a misunderstood teenager to a young man with clear influence and authority. Fun little fact, this podcast would not have happened if it wasn’t for Billy. When I was going through the shopping list of the things I needed to make this podcast happen, Billy was the audio expert that I went to first. His wealth of knowledge in this field is not only extensive for his age - it is extensive, full stop. In this episode, we are going to explore his love for audio engineering, his experience with personal tragedy, going through the ups and downs of dealing with different social stigmas. It had a really big impact on me recording this with Billy, and I am sure it will with you listening too. Sit tight!
