Descripción

Hello Shipmates, and welcome to another episode of The Audacious Podcast, where we meet the people who make the extraordinary feel wonderfully ordinary. In this episode, Hugo Mitchell-Heggs is joined by Dr Sally Orange MBE - a former British Army Major, adventure athlete, and passionate mental health campaigner. Sally served for 22 years in the Royal Army Medical Corps as a physiotherapy officer, including a frontline deployment to Afghanistan. Since leaving the Army, she has completed over 87 marathons and 8 Ironman triathlons, often in full fancy dress to raise awareness for mental health charities. Along the way, she has collected multiple Guinness World Records and an impressive collection of fruity costumes. In this inspiring and open conversation, Sally reflects on her military career, her battles with mental health, her experience of breast cancer, and how running evolved from a personal passion into a powerful platform for purpose. A heartfelt, uplifting episode with a generous splash of fruit-based humour. Hosted by Hugo Mitchell-Heggs MBE. Powered by TEAM LEWIS Studios.

Dame Penny Mordaunt: Leading from Parliament to Pompey

Hello Shipmates, and welcome to Episode 1 of The Audacious Podcast. This is the show where we dive deep into the stories of people who make the extraordinary feel ordinary. In this first episode, Hugo Mitchell-Heggs is joined by The Right Honourable Dame Penny Mordaunt DBE; former MP for Portsmouth North, Leader of the House of Commons, and the first woman ever to serve as Secretary of State for Defence. A proud champion of the Royal Navy and the city of Portsmouth, Penny has spent her career balancing leadership, service, and community from the corridors of Westminster to rallying a city to save its football club when its future was at risk. In this conversation, Penny reflects on the moments that shaped her; from her early motivations in politics and connection to the Royal Navy, to lessons in leadership, resilience, and the power of community. It's an open, insightful discussion that sets the tone for this epic series. Hosted by Hugo Mitchell-Heggs MBE. Powered by TEAM LEWIS Studios.
