As we were cycling our way down south Uganda, we stopped in a small city called Fort Portal. After a good meal, we walked around and passed by the Gaia Eco Hub. We started to chat with its owner, Barbara and we clicked directly! With the Gaia eco hub, Barbara is creating a hub around sustainability with a restaurant, café, a shop and even a library. In this episode, Barbara will share about her experience in Uganda with regards to farming, plastic management or the fashion industry. Be ready to be inspired!

Protecting marine life in Indonesia 🇮🇩 with Sella Runtulalo

After more than a month exploring Indonesia, we were blown away by its untouched nature and it really reached its climax when we got to the island of Bunaken. We swam with countless turtles, dolphins and rare species of fishes. That made us want to meet the locals acting to protect this incredible region and that’s how we connected with Sella Runtulalo, the founder of Manengkel Solidaritas.  Manengkel Solidaritas is a non-governmental organization which develops and implements ecological projects in the region of Northern Sulawesi. Their goal is to help and inspire local communities to live alongside the marine environment in a sustainable way. Sella will talk to us about some of the active projects they’re working on such as coral monitoring and transplantation, mangrove rehabilitation and helping small scale fisheries operate sustainably. Let’s dive right into it!
