How God Expands His Church Through Opposition | Acts 10–12

When God Interrupts Your Life for a Greater Purpose | Acts 8–9

The first seven chapters focused primarily on the Church in Jerusalem. Now, beginning in Acts 8, the Gospel starts spreading into Judea and Samaria—fulfilling Jesus’ words in Acts 1:8: * “You shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (NKJV) Kathy explores how persecution, suffering, divine interruptions, and radical transformation all became instruments God used to expand His Church.  ACTS CHAPTER 8 — THE GOSPEL SCATTERED & MULTIPLIED 1. Saul Begins Persecuting the Church Key Passage: Acts 8:1–3 Following the martyrdom of Stephen, Saul violently persecutes Christians—dragging men and women into prison and making “havoc” of the Church.  Key Themes: * Religious zeal without truth * Spiritual blindness * God’s ability to transform anyone Kathy emphasizes the contrast between who Saul was in Acts 8 and who he becomes later as the Apostle Paul.
