Genesis 3 tells the story of humanity’s fall into sin. The serpent tempts Eve, who, along with Adam, eats the forbidden fruit, bringing disobedience, shame, and death into the world. When confronted, they shift blame instead of confessing, showing how sin fractures relationships. God declares the consequences—hard work, pain, and mortality—but also shows care and provides hope. Eve is named “the mother of all the living,” reminding us that life continues and God’s plan for redemption remains. This chapter highlights human freedom, responsibility, and God’s enduring love despite our mistakes.
