Seth was a regular commentator on VH1 for 10 years and has often popped up on Comedy Central-- performing on "John Oliver's NY Stand Up Show," as a panelist on @Midnight," as well as in parts on "Chappelle Show" & "Stella." Seth also had parts on NBC's "30 Rock," CBS's "Love Monkey," ESPN's "Mayne Street," and E!'s "#1 Single," and has been on a part of three different web series' for IFC. Episode #5: Paruresis Mental Health. Anxiety. Trauma. Sometimes things just don’t go the way we’ve planned. For some, the events of the past manifest themselves in very life challenging ways. Paruresis, or Shy Bladder Syndrome can be a very uncomfortable way to go through life. However, there are men out there like Daniel Rocker who are truly being of service to those who suffer from this psychosomatic disorder. This conversation with Daniel is a little more clinical that what I normally get into however, Dan is a soulful guy and his passion for helping others heal is inspiring. Daniel Rocker is a psychotherapist in private practice in New York City, working with individuals, couples and groups. Dan graduated with a BA from Wesleyan University, and a MSW from New York University’s Silver School of Social Work. He is a graduate of Ackerman’s Clinical Externship program. Prior to his career as therapist, Dan worked as a trader at Jefferies and Company, and as the head of trading for investment firms Rocker Partners and Zimmer Partners. Dan has been an active volunteer in the Doula to Accompany and Comfort Program, providing visits to palliative care patients, since 2004. He is the Vice-President and Co-Director of the clinical arm of the International Paruresis Association, an organization that provides advocacy and treatment for individuals who suffer with the social anxiety disorder of shy bladder. She has survived a bunch of challenging events, like the death of her best friend, the death of her father, and being diagnosed with breast cancer all of which has never unseated her ability to move forward with her life. Andrea started a School, runs a cookie business, is a dog whisperer, excellent with children, and has the most infectious laugh of anyone I have ever met. She is truly living under the guise of authenticity over acceptance.
