The Brenin Audio Podcast
I’d like to tell you about Lost Kingdoms. This will be a series of six short-form podcast episodes. Each episode will last between 20-30 minutes in length. The series will be created to appeal to the broadest cross section of the general public. I would aim to appeal to listeners of all ages, by creating engaging and entertaining content for each episode. The United Kingdom that we live in now, has not always been so. Throughout history different realms were created and cast asunder. Yet some of those Kingdoms still exist today; hidden in plain sight. Each episode will be presented by Alex Mackenzie; but will also incorporate interviews and commentary from historians local to the kingdom being discussed. We will also use voice actors; representative of the area, to help bring to life the characters and folklore from each of the featured kingdoms. The tone for each episode will be light-hearted, factual and informative. Taking key inspiration from the content produced by journalist Catrin Nye and Jamie Bartlett in their respective podcasts. Interviews will not just focus on historical facts but will also seek to show how the respective Lost Kingdoms have contributed to modern British Society. Whilst not afraid to feature darker moments from our past, we aim to introduce levity and humour where possible to ensure that the content remains engaging.
