Cowboys Who Rode Across the World

During the 2025 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, the Chute Bosses in collaboration with Wrangler caught up with a pair of cowboys who took the challenge of endurance horseback riding head on. Filipe Masetti Leite, a Brazilian-Canadian adventurer, author and award-winning filmmaker, is the youngest person to cross the Americas on horseback. Over eight years he traversed over 1,500 miles on an unforgettable journey. Josh Edwards, a PRCA board member and former NFR pickup man, competed in the Mongol Derby in 2024. He crossed the Mongolian Steppe in a 10-day 1,000 KM horse race against 44 world-class riders. Edwards and Leite discussed the challenges on their journey and how their rodeo backgrounds helped them achieve seemingly impossibly goals. #WeArePRORODEO
