Descripción

Let me ask you this..If you had a really bad day, would you carry those feelings with you for the rest of the day? Or would you try and do something to change how you feel? We're all exposed to these situations of extreme stress, and when that happens it's much harder for us to do what's best for us and the people around us. That's why learning to manage your state and becoming aware of how to consciously change your mood can be so powerful. In this episode I discuss some of the important things you to focus on when you're having one of those days, and how you can initiate that change.

Jordan Peterson & How to Create a Meaningful Life: Ep. 17

For the last 3 days I've been listening to mostly Jordan Peterson's content. So it felt appropriate today to talk about some of the things I've learned. Learning to rise above the things we shy away from doing. And facing the many fears we have is a critical component in your growth as an individual. Thank you for taking the time to listen :) And when you're finished, go Check out Jordan Peterson's videos on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xY48e1oDXSU&list=PLxUTraCUMzA-UAC190uZeWuv72YwzeKxd&index=102&t=185s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYJp813tGH4&list=PLxUTraCUMzA-UAC190uZeWuv72YwzeKxd&index=93&t=1030s More Videos can also be found in my Youtube playlist "Motivation Files": https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLxUTraCUMzA-UAC190uZeWuv72YwzeKxd

Figuring out Next Steps & Starting a Dopamine Detox: Ep. 16

Since we're now 16 episodes in, I decided I needed a hard reset. To take a step back from all the everyday distractions, and figure out what I need to do to challenge myself in the months to come. I decided to go about this after stumbling upon a guy named Andrew Kirby's Youtube series: Dopamine Detox. This detox is meant to distance you from instantly gratifying behaviors ( Such as Netflix, Social Media, & Drugs ), and replace these habits/behaviors with deeper, more fulfilling activities. Specifically the one that interested me the most. Which was the ability to become aware of the thoughts you're having, and to be able to sit alone with those thoughts, and create dopamine simply by harnessing the power of your own mind and learning to enjoy sitting still. I will be documenting my journey through this challenge over the weeks to come.

Even When You Don't Feel Like It... Do it anyway! | How to Stop Making Excuses: Ep. 14

Most of the time, it feels good to get things done. Whether you liked what you were doing or not, a sense of accomplishment is something we all gain satisfaction from. So why is it that we only like getting those things done sometimes? Because most of us lack the energy to get those things done on a regular basis. This is why discipline plays a vital role in one's pursuit of a better life. By creating routines that generate/replenish our energy, rather than consuming/take it away, you start to get things done to feel good, rather than the other way around. And the way we create routines, by integrating these replenishing habits into our daily lives even on the days we don't want to is a mental muscle that the majority of people don't have. In this episode we learn how harnessing discipline can benefit you in your own life and create better, longer lasting energy. Hope you guys enjoy! Have a great weekend ❤️❤️
