What is Biblical Love?

Is the American church declining because we have adapted a worldly standard for love and we have gotten away from the true Gospel of Jesus Christ? Is it possible that the world sees something that we as Christians aren't willing to see and admit? Is it possible that we have drifted from the Simple God Given Instructions that require faith before works and have traded it in for a confusing facade of a gospel that is no gospel at all?
