Descripción

This interview with Dr. Karen Bolton was absolutely powerful and we had to split it into a 2 part series! Part 2 of 2 Dr. Bolton is a Navy veteran, college professor teaching leadership, and is an elected official on the Bremerton school board. As a black woman she has directly experienced racism and oppression throughout her life. We talk about her experiences from being stopped by the Seattle Police at gun point due to mistaken identity, how she dealt with workplace discrimination and people tip-toeing around the issue of racism. She is not shy about sharing her thoughts, or calling someone out on their bullshit. Listen to the episode to hear her unique insights into the George Floyd murder, Black Lives Matter protests, and how we can move forward together as a society with real leadership.
