This week we ask what does love have to do with it? Just kidding, but we talk about "Tina" a documentary on HBO Max about the pop/rock icon Tina Turner. As we talk about how she shares her story, Emily and I talk about the cost and benefits of sharing our own stories of trauma.

The Discover Life Beyond Crisis Podcast S 1 Ep 2

The Episode: This week we talk about Emily's anxiety, our Disneyland trip, and an update on the Chauvin trial. For our main discussion we are talking about post covid anxiety. How do we move on in a soon to be post covid world? The Show: Hi, I am Mason. My friend Emily and I co-host this podcast. The DLBC Podcast is an irreverent conversation about trauma and mental health. After working through my depression, mommy and daddy issues, a stint in therapy and the help of medication I recognized that the process of overcoming trauma was not fun, in fact, it sucked. The worst part was I felt like I was doing it alone. That is how the idea of the DLBC Podcast. I wanted to build a community of defective individuals like myself to walk this journey together. I also wanted to create a space that we, as a community, did not have to tip toe around the subject of our issues. Our conversations, here, are not clinical they are real. Neither one of us are therapist or mental health clinicians. We are Life Coaches who specialize in helping people overcome trauma and helping individuals develop tools to manage personal crisis as they navigate their mental health journey.
