Descripción

This episode of The Engaged Citizen Podcast features a conversation with Mayra Uribe –Orange County Commissioner of District 3. During our conversation we discuss how she became involved with politics and civic engagement at the local and State level. Throughout our conversation Commissioner Uribe provided useful tips and shared hard earned wisdom from years of work within the nonprofit sector in Central Florida. This conversation was conducted weeks ago but portions of it have replayed in my head because so much of what she shared was EXACTLY what I needed to hear. Upon sharing this conversation with a few people before uploading I learned they too were inspired and echo my appreciation for her willingness to lift others as she climbs. I hope you enjoy! For more information about Commissioner Uribe and her work please visit: https://www.orangecountyfl.net/BoardofCommissioners/District3Commissioner.aspx#.XNds-BRKi9I *Please Note: Zeke Menning did a phenomenal job helping me edit this show. He did the bulk of the editing and I want to acknowledge his hard work. Thanks, Zeke!!
