From a BE in Industrial Engineering at B.M.S to an MS in Supply chain management at Georgia Tech, Anirudhdha shares his story about battling imposter syndromes and restrictions on international students. Giving us new perspectives on admission processes, he shares a few tips and tricks to get the perfect SoP and LoR that impress colleges.

Anjali, a former chemical engineering student at NITK Surathkal elucidates on her journey from not liking Biology to now pursuing a PhD in Systems Biology. An example of determination, she proves how ‘CGPA’ isn’t the master key to get into your dream schools, it’s about striving to create your own learning experience. During her engineering days, Anjali had interned at NTU Singapore in the summer and continued to gain research experience wherever possible - and that was one of the pivotal factors that got her into Harvard University.

Abhijith’s passion for Data Science got him into Harvard’s first data science program, Masters of Science in Health Data Science. His “direction-less” engineer self found data by chance, and it piqued his interest so much that he went out of his way to build his skills- especially at a time when courses were just on the rise. In hindsight, Abhijith elucidates on the step-by-step procedure a DS enthusiast should adopt, while in undergrad. Irrespective of the domain he asks us to “Learn how to learn about the domain you’re working with” and most of all, take care of our mental health.

A UPenn graduate and former Tesla intern, Anirudh Sharma takes us through his journey of discovering and experimenting with domains and interests. He sheds light on preparation, tips, books and the application process for GRE. Twenty two year old Aniruddh’s start-up, Simplantium, that is working for a novel cardiovascular implant is now in the customer discovery and market research phase.  Anirudh also highlights the importance of extracurriculars- he says that time will run out before we know it, so we should invest time in our passion too.

A civil engineer from the Univ of Kerala, Mr. Naseef defied all odds - an average income background, insufficient academic resources and limited awareness -  and became the first person from his family to earn a seat in MBA at the prestigious IIM Bangalore. He takes us through the journey of his CAT preparation, followed by valuable tips on the group discussion and interview rounds. He also talks about the mental pressure a student has to go through while applying for such strenuous competitive exams, with factors such as focus and dedication being key towards the sweet success in the end.
