And the dead in Christ will rise first. [17] Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. [18] Therefore encourage one another with these words. (ESV) SUMMARY We read 1 Thessalonians 4:16–18 and let it reshape how we think about mortality, fear, and what comes after death. We end the day with prayer, setting our hearts on resurrection hope and the promise that we will always be with the Lord. • evening mindset meditation centered on 1 Thessalonians 4:16–18  • why we instinctively protect ourselves through medicine and safety habits  • the honest confession that we are frail and mortal  • eternal life in Jesus as more than comfort, a real future with Him  • resurrection hope, bodies raised and reunited, transformed and whole  • encouragement to rest tonight with confidence rather than fear  • closing prayer for peace, strength, and a life that shows others Jesus  Support the Evening Mindset: https://MorningMindsetMedia.com/EMSupport [https://morningmindsetmedia.com/EMSupport] Join over 16,000 daily listeners who enjoy the podcast that started it all… “The Morning Mindset”: https://MorningMindsetMedia.com/Morning-Mindset [https://MorningMindsetMedia.com/Morning-Mindset]

(ESV) SUMMARY We read Jeremiah 33:2 to 3 and sit with God’s promise to answer when we call, especially when fear tells us we’ve been rejected. We take a slow breath, turn our hearts back toward Jesus, and end with a prayer for guidance and deep peace as we fall asleep. • listener support and becoming a partner  • Jeremiah 33:2 to 3 read aloud and anchored in God’s character  • turmoil, discipline, and the fear that God is done with us  • reassurance that God remains committed to his people  • repentance as a return to God’s presence and availability  • a brief breathing pause to settle the mind before rest  • closing prayer for hidden wisdom, guidance, and peace  Please consider becoming a partner. Send Carey a note (sorry, replies are not possible at this time) [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2561734/fan_mail/new] TONIGHT’S SCRIPTURE: John 14:16–17 [16] And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, [17] even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you. (ESV) SUMMARY We land on John 14:16–17 and let Jesus’ promise of the Spirit of truth reshape how we end the day. We remind ourselves that God lives in us as our helper, so we can let go of anxiety and rest in real peace. • reading and reflecting on John 14:16–17  • the Holy Spirit as helper and Spirit of truth  • God’s presence dwelling in us by faith in Jesus Christ  • discernment and guidance to see truth from error  • releasing stress, fear, and end-of-day anxieties  • resting at bedtime with a mind stayed on God  • closing prayer for wisdom, strength, and peace  Support the Evening Mindset: https://MorningMindsetMedia.com/EMSupport [https://morningmindsetmedia.com/EMSupport] Join over 16,000 daily listeners who enjoy the podcast that started it all… “The Morning Mindset”: https://MorningMindsetMedia.com/Morning-Mindset [https://MorningMindsetMedia.com/Morning-Mindset]

177-Pray for the Spirit’s wind (John 3:7-8) || The Evening Mindset - Christian Bible Meditation and Bedtime Prayers

Send Carey a note (sorry, replies are not possible at this time) [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2561734/fan_mail/new] TONIGHT’S SCRIPTURE: John 3:7–8 [7] Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ [8] The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.” (ESV) SUMMARY We sit with Jesus’ words to Nicodemus and let them challenge the idea that we can earn righteousness through effort. We pray for the Holy Spirit to move like the wind in our lives, bringing inner renewal, trust, and peace as we rest. • Nicodemus as a rule-keeper drawn to Jesus’ message  • Religiosity as an outside-in project that cannot remake the heart  • “You must be born again” as spiritual rebirth, not self-improvement  • The Holy Spirit compared to the wind we cannot control  • A simple invitation to ask for guidance, restoration, and salvation  • Trusting unseen spiritual work and praying for loved ones  I encourage you to pray often for God's spirit to blow in your life to guide you, to restore you, to bring you salvation if you've never experienced it. Send Carey a note (sorry, replies are not possible at this time) [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2561734/fan_mail/new] TONIGHT’S SCRIPTURE: 1 John 5:14 [14] And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. (ESV) SUMMARY We anchor our evening mindset in 1 John 5:14 and the promise that God hears prayers aligned with his will. We talk through what that confidence looks like in real life and how closeness with Jesus shapes what we learn to ask for.  • reading 1 John 5:14 as a foundation for confidence in prayer  • unpacking what “according to his will” means in everyday requests  • comparing prayer to healthy parent child trust and generosity  • explaining how abiding in Jesus forms our desires over time  • closing with a guided prayer for rest, assurance, and grace  Support the Evening Mindset: https://MorningMindsetMedia.com/EMSupport [https://morningmindsetmedia.com/EMSupport] Join over 16,000 daily listeners who enjoy the podcast that started it all… “The Morning Mindset”: https://MorningMindsetMedia.com/Morning-Mindset [https://MorningMindsetMedia.com/Morning-Mindset]

175-Stay close to Jesus (John 15:4) || The Evening Mindset - Christian Bible Meditation and Bedtime Prayers

Send Carey a note (sorry, replies are not possible at this time) [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2561734/fan_mail/new] TONIGHT’S SCRIPTURE: John 15:4 [4] Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. (ESV) SUMMARY We anchor tonight’s mindset in John 15 and Jesus’ words about abiding, because fruitfulness starts with staying connected to him. We reflect on a simple garden picture and end with a prayer to rest in Christ so his life can flow through ours tomorrow. • John 15:4 as the core invitation to abide  • the garden and grapevine image that makes the lesson tangible  • why a branch cannot bear fruit alone  • Jesus as the true source of life, wisdom, and strength  • resting at night as a practical act of trust and dependence  Let’s abide as we lay our heads down in rest.  Support the Evening Mindset: https://MorningMindsetMedia.com/EMSupport [https://morningmindsetmedia.com/EMSupport] Join over 16,000 daily listeners who enjoy the podcast that started it all… “The Morning Mindset”: https://MorningMindsetMedia.com/Morning-Mindset [https://MorningMindsetMedia.com/Morning-Mindset]
