Job Tibay: Get Out There

Originally from The Philippines, Job Tibay moved to the US with his parents, studied, fell in love, became an artist and is now a project manager at Estēe Lauder. Today he’s happily married to a talented American dancer and counselor, Melisa Tibay, and they’re expecting their first baby boy in a couple of weeks. It seems like Job’s expat journey was a walk in the park but it really wasn’t. What did make a difference was that he had a strong spiritual foundation and a community that supported him. Lauren LuLu Taylor: Pick Up The Phone

Lauren is the rising star of baking mixes.  She’s the co-founder of Secret Kiwi Kitchen that she started with a friend during the lockdown. And because their products have that old-fashioned goodness without any nasty ingredients, it’s now becoming a household name alongside Hello Fresh and Briscoes. Armed with so many skills and talents (which includes glassblowing), Lauren is not a person that you can put in a box. The same goes with her ethnic and cultural background, she’s a so-called “mixed” who sounds very American - absolutely positive and undeniably bubbly! Ulemj Glamuzina: Embrace Being Different

Ulemj Glamuzina is a multi-awarded expat artist that was recently awarded The Miles Award for her piece “Odd One Out,” which was featured in the New Zealand Herald. Ulemj is originally from Mongolia, a daughter of diplomats, who lived in several countries until finding her home in New Zealand. Billy Wark: Make It Your Dreamland

Billy Wark is an American expat who has traveled all over the world as a World Racer.” He’s lived in more than eleven countries in one year including Ukraine hoping to make a difference. He’s an exceptional leader who is now based in the Philippines, where he runs his online business serving clients in his home country, the U.S. In this episode, we’ll learn why Billy is also into “changing lives.” He’ll tell us about serving as a manager of a non-profit where he has developed a mentorship programme for underprivileged teenage boys. We'll also find out about his mixed-race marriage and how this helps in his life as an expat. Finally, Billy shares his thoughts about racists and gives his advice on how to better appreciate other people and their cultures.
