The Fantastical Stories Podcast with Sammy Zaidi
Welcome to the Fantastical Stories Podcast with Sammy Zaidi. In this podcast, I talk about extraordinary stories in an otherwise ordinary world. These aren't ghost stories – but from my interactions with some of the most brilliant people I've met over the years such as professors, lawyers, writers, and doctors – I'm exploring how the world, as I understand it, may not be as mundane as I originally perceived. Where I would normally dismiss fictitious anecdotes, these are stories that come from people I know for a fact are trust-worthy. In this episode, I discuss "Hazraaat", a phenomenon that originates out of an old Islamic tradition going back to old India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. Using ash, prayer, and the mind of a young child, you can see detailed moving images on your finger. I suppose now a smartphone can do just that, but this happened well before the advent of such technology. I wouldn't believe this at all except for the fact that my father, a surgeon with some of the best training in the world (so I know he's not a crazy yahoo), SWEARS, that this happened to him. Not only that, but he uses it to solve a crime...at 7 years old.
