The Fathermore Initiative
What’s good Fathers! Do you believe in life defining moments? Those times where you knew it was a pivotal turning point in who you were to become. We all have them. Marriage. Career transition. Having children. Yet, it doesn’t stop there. I learned this truth all too well with Kyndall, my soon to be 8-year old. She is constantly stretching me as a father whether she knows it or not (I think she does). One area that is extremely important for her is receiving affirmations; knowing without a shadow of a doubt that I value her. One problem. I haven’t always been great at it. Until…I learned a valuable lesson. In this episode, we share a 5-part process in which you can affirm your child. Fathers, your child needs to hear from you. You have a great opportunity to give them a beacon of light and focus, as they journey through the challenges of life. Positive affirmations offer blessings, hope, and a future. They feel empowered and you experience parenting at a new level. Sounds like a Win-Win to me. Enjoy! Open Table Discussion The biggest kick I get out doing these podcasts is hearing from you. Each week I ask one question. Here's this weeks: What approach do you take to affirm your children? Sirloin Tips From This Episode: •How to capture defining moments with your children •The potential negative effects of not affirming your children •A 5 - part process in which to affirm your children for long lasting impact •Become a person that has strong visualization skills to grow personally •And much more… Discover Additional Resources In this episode we mentioned the following resources: •You Have What It Takes by John Eldredge – His aim is to give Father’s the courage, confidence and conviction to connect with their sons or daughters.
