Track Chat #2 - Dom Muzio of Wicked Garden

You can check out the Wicked Garden album on iTunes https://music.apple.com/us/album/post-dystopian-leisure-music/1458540379 https://www.amazon.com/Dystopian-Leisure-Music-Wicked-Garden/dp/B07SRF342R/ref=tmm_acd_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1579567715&sr=8-3 After knowing Dom for a great portion of my life, it was fun to learn more about his band Wicked Garden debut album Post Dystopian Leisure Music. We had some great laughs...a ton of technical issues (that we worked through and I didn't get to discuss because of the time length of the show). So take a listen and enjoy! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/s/f87b540/podcast/sponsor/acugj9/url/https%3A%2F%2Fanchor.fm%2Fapp Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/thefreddeeshow/support

Track Chat #1 - Gemini Mind

Check out my Track Chat with composer and all-around great guy, Ben DeGennaro. Ben has been the bassist for local NJ Cover Band, The Benjamins with his brother Joe for the past 20 years. We discuss The Benjamins and his inspirations for the creation of his solo musical releases of Gemini Mind. In my mind, if you like Jimmy Eat World, Breaking Benjamins and some loud aggressive guitars with sometimes a light side to it, then you will love both the Gemini Mind releases. You can find them on Spotify or at iTunes https://music.apple.com/us/artist/gemini-mind/1244213474. Episode #12 - Anthony Esposito

https://obscenicarts.com/ https://www.instagram.com/anthonyesposito66/ Anthony Esposito is an American hard rock bass guitar player and music producer, best known as an original member of hard rock band Lynch Mob, formed by George Lynch and Mick Brown after leaving Dokken. Born in Brooklyn, and raised on Staten Island New York, Anthony Esposito began playing the upright bass, and at age 12 played for the Staten Island Chamber Symphony. At 15 years of age, Esposito was commissioned by the St. George Theater in Staten Island for their house band backing such artists as B.B. King, Bo Didley, Freddie Cannon, Speedo, and the Cadillacs, The Temptations, Four Tops, and The Spinners. Lynch Mob (1989 - 1993, 1998, 2003-2004) After his departure from Dokken, George Lynch, along with fellow Dokken bandmate, Mick Brown, set out to form a new group, drafting Anthony Esposito on bass. Working with a solid line-up, the newly formed Lynch Mob immediately began writing and recording a new album. The result was "Wicked Sensation" released in 1990 and widely held as Lynch Mob's best album. The record spawned two singles, "River of Love" which reached #19 on the Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart as well as "Wicked Sensation" which topped out at #31. Ace Frehley (2006 - 2012) After Ace’s departure from Kiss following the world-renowned farewell tour, Ace enlisted Esposito to act as recording and touring bassist, tour manager, and music director Although uncredited, it is widely believed that Esposito co-produced Ace’s 2009 "Anomaly" CD which was recorded in Esposito's schoolhouse studio in Manhattan with Anton Fig behind the kit and Jay Messina behind the board. Esposito was featured on Ace’s worldwide "Rocket Ride" and Anomaly world tours. Red Dragon Cartel (2015 - present) Jake E. Lee, of Ozzy Osbourne and Badlands fame, re-emerged back into the music industry after a relative 7-year absence to create Red Dragon Cartel. After an initial album and tour, Anthony Esposito was asked to replace the original bassist in 2015 and co-produce and co-write Red Dragon Cartel’s most recent CD "Patina". The cd was recorded in its entirety at Esposito’s Obscenic Arts horse ranch studio. Music Production Anthony Esposito is an accomplished music producer, sound engineer, and mixer founding Schoolhouse Studio (1993-2007) located in NY. Notable clients included such groups as The Ramones, Green Day, The New York Dolls, The Misfits, Joan Jett, Ace Frehley, DGeneration, Ryan Adams, Lynch Mob, Warrant and the Psychedelic Furs. Relocating to Dillsburg, PA and converting a few pre-civil war buildings on the horse ranch location for recording and client accommodations. Schoolhouse Studios was renamed Obscenic Arts which is still in operation to this day. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/s/f87b540/podcast/sponsor/acugj9/url/https%3A%2F%2Fanchor.fm%2Fapp Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/behindthecurtainwith/support

Episode #11 - Ray West of Spread Eagle & Weapons of Anew

www.raywestmusic.com www.spreadeagle.us https://www.weaponsofanewband.com/ https://music.apple.com/us/artist/spread-eagle https://music.apple.com/us/artist/weapons-of-anew Talented songwriter/rock vocalist Ray West’s career has been much like his music - melodic, soulful and psychotic! Hard rock and heavy metal enthusiasts are well familiar with his raspy and raw, yet strong and distinctive, vocal style. Born in Brooklyn and raised in Ft. Lauderdale, West’s father turned him on to all genres of music from soul to rock and roll. Growing up, Ray became influenced by such celebrated bands like Black Sabbath, Van Halen, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Humble Pie, Judas Priest and Santana and the singing styles of notable greats including James Brown, Elvis Presley, Stevie Wonder, and Michael Jackson. After singing in numerous bands while living in Ft. Lauderdale, West moved to New York City. Soon after, he joined Spread Eagle. They were signed to MCA/Universal and the band burst upon the music scene rather quickly, playing an explosive brand of rock that came straight from living in New York City’s infamous Lower East Side. Their self-titled debut album featured wailing vocals and razor-sharp guitar demonstrated through such popular songs as "Switchblade Serenade," "Scratch Like A Cat” and “Broken City." The band acquired worldwide critical acclaim, propelling them to the forefront of the genre. They then released and toured with their second album, "Open to the Public." While life on the road had its moments, West needed to reassess his life. After leaving the limelight for a few years, his love of performing brought him right back to his passion, which is singing. An accomplished performer in other arenas, West has also done theatre and stand-up comedy and was currently a cast member of the off-Broadway Gypsy rock underground comedy hit "Viva Patshiva!” For most of his career, West has shared his gift by teaching voice, which he started doing during his Spread Eagle days. He has created two rock courses, "Grit to Aggression" and "Melody to Madness," helping students learn his unique vocal style. West recently finished recording his new album with his band APW, aka All Points West, with producer Miguel “Nino” Gonzalez. The album was released in October 2009. The track “Novacaine” was heard on USA Network’s new TV series, “Burn Notice,” and will be heard on FX Channel’s "Sons of Anarchy" this coming November 2009. The track will also be in a new independent movie, "Paper Man." The song "Hypothermia" is featured in the new BRAAP film, "Narly 9." Additionally, the songs "Crash," "Got my Gun," and "No State of Grace" are all going to be featured in the new "Crusty Demons" film. All Points West has gained a great following in the hard rock and metal club scene. They’ve played a plethora of live shows this year alone, including gigs at Don Hill’s in Manhattan, Dingbatz in New Jersey and the Flushing Library in Queens. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/s/f87b540/podcast/sponsor/acugj9/url/https%3A%2F%2Fanchor.fm%2Fapp Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/behindthecurtainwith/support
