Beginning in August of 2021 Chief Ewins is the first woman to ever serve at the Chief of Police in Lincoln, Nebraska. She has a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, has completed the FBI National Academy; Harvard Kennedy School’s State and Local Government; and the Police Executive Research Forum’s Senior Management Institute for Police. On this episode we talk about her journey, leadership lessons, learning, and everything in between. Elsbeth also interviews Dr. Deanna House, an Assistant Professor in the Information Systems & Quantitative Analysis department in the College of Information Science and Technology at the University of Nebraska Omaha. Her research interests are related to the behavioral aspects of cybersecurity and the protective and preventative measures performed by users and organizations.
