Three Things God Shared With Me This Week

In this episode I share three things God shared with me this week.  The first is the depth of His love for you. The person who does not know Him. You’ve asked, “Then why doesn’t He talk to me?” I tell you the answer.  The second thing is that He wanted to address the difference between producing good works for the kingdom with Him and a type of striving and frenzied activity that is based in an orphan heart and sense of fatherlessness.  He’s addressing performing and trying to be validated by people vs. working alongside Him from a place of intimacy. He explained how to shift into the latter.  The third is not for everyone. It’s for shepherds, leaders of influence. There is a calling into the principal’s office. He brought me to Ezekiel 20. Being a shepherd is a big responsibility. Jesus loves His sheep. He guards His house. What we do with influence matters because behavior spreads. A major correction is taking place and questions will be asked. He answered them in advance.

Breaking the Idols

God is bringing people into green pastures, but idols aren’t coming with. The greater freedom He has for you is on the other side of dealing with things in hearts, minds, and souls that aren’t meant to be there. Especially where His house is concerned, He’s dealing with idols that are causing competition, comparison, fear of man, exploitation, and performing. His house isn’t a sorority or fraternity.  God wants us to be united and He’s asking, “Can you be in community and still abide in Me?”

God Misses You

“They worship me with their lips but their hearts are far from Me.”  It can be easy to treat God like an affiliation we wear or an extract we add to our lives to give it flavor. But the truth is, He’s real, alive, and wants you much closer to Him than you think. In this episode, God is asking people to search their motivations, their hearts, and minds. Where do I get validation from? Am I performing religion or abiding in the heart of Jesus?  He’s asking people He misses to return to Him.

Time’s Up for Playing in God’s House

God takes His house seriously. In 1 Samuel, Eli’s sons were rejected from the priesthood due to how they treated God’s house and people. His house is not a fraternity, sorority, or gang. Jesus is restoring order, holiness, and bringing correction.

Choose This Day

We’re in a time where God is showing people where their heart is. He is showing people which God they serve.  Is it popularity?  Being accepted?  Money?  A specific culture?  Even a specific ministry can become an idol.  God is revealing to people anything attempting to usurp His throne in your heart.  For shepherds, God is coming to deal with any place where sheep have become meals and holy places have become places of personal feasting.  Jesus is coming back and He’s cleaning. Choose Him.
