OUR GOD IS A JUST JUDGE - Psalm 50

Does God owe us anything? Or do we believe He has no claim over our lives? In Psalm 50, God steps into His courtroom as the righteous Judge and calls two defendants before Him. The first is the religious person who believes their outward obedience puts God in their debt. The second is the rebellious person who lives as though God has no authority over them. Both stand guilty. This powerful psalm reminds us that God is not impressed by empty religion or unmoved by open rebellion. He desires hearts marked by gratitude, obedience, and genuine worship. Ultimately, Psalm 50 points us to the only One who can stand in our place before God's perfect justice, Jesus Christ. WHO IS YOUR KING - Psalm 47

Who is your King? Every person crowns something. Success, comfort, money, politics, family, or even themselves. Psalm 47 confronts us with a powerful truth, there is a throne above every throne and a King above every king. This enthronement psalm points us ultimately to Jesus Christ, the victorious King who conquered sin, defeated death, ascended to heaven, and reigns over all creation.
