Ryan Nakade, age 26, is a philosopher, rapper, avid gardener and a whiz at Vedic astrology. I first met Ryan at a day of mindfulness at a Buddhist temple on the Big Island of Hawaii where he was asked to give a talk about meditation. At the time he was just 22 years old and looked even younger. I thought, who the heck is this kid? We became fast friends and I consider Ryan amongst the most awake people I know, regardless of age. Join us for this conversation on growing up the son of a Buddhist minister in Hawaii, going to a “spiritual college”, finding wisdom through deepening phases of identity dissolution, and the importance of developing character alongside consciousness.
