Episode #12- Paul Harnett Ski Boot Marathon World Record Holder

Paul Harnett recently toed the line at the London Marathon...IN SKI BOOTS! Paul crushed the existing ski boot marathon world record by over 20 minutes finishing in a time of 5:30:27.  When he is not breaking world records, Paul spends his time working as a surgeon in London, England. He is a hip fracture specialist and often sees patients who have hip damage from running. The irony of this is not lost on Paul- running 42.2km in ski boots significantly increases your chance of sustaining an injury but Paul is someone who throws caution to the wind and just gets the shit done!  Paul has so far raised 7,000 British pounds for the British Paralympic Association and if you had a good chuckle at how fun this story is or were simply inspired by his tenacity consider making a contribution at https://www.skibootmarathon.com/.  The Habit Podcast is brought to you by: Renu Enhanced Tea- www.renuenhancedtea.com B78 Coaching- www.b78coaching.com Group Eleven Websites for Athletes- www.groupeleven.co

Episode #10- Janelle Morrison- The Hero's Journey and The Search For True Fulfillment.

In 2010 Janelle Morrison's life changed forever. Janelle was in a car accident that quite literally crushed her body. It took paramedics over three hours to get her out of the car using the jaws of life. She was placed in a medically induced coma for a week in order for doctors to repair her body. Two years later she was on the podium at Ironman Canada. Despite all odds Janelle managed to claw her way back to the highest level in her sport. She really did live the hero's journey. But despite her remarkable comeback she was left feeling unfulfilled and empty. It took incredible courage and resilience to claw her way back physically but arguably as much, if not more courage, to leave the sport when she realized it was not the end game she hoped for.  This realization set her on a new path of mental and spiritual renewal. Janelle now shares her wisdom through speaking, coaching and yoga. To learn more about Janelle you can visit her website: http://www.janellemorrison.com/ and we strongly recommend checking the documentary "Second Chance"- you can view the trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hC3t3OwrcvM
