Descripción

Last week, we stepped into the importance of boundaries—what they look like in my practice, the policies I’ve put in place to protect both myself and my clients, and why those structures matter more than we sometimes realize. Boundaries aren’t about building walls; they’re about creating a safe, sustainable space where real healing can happen for everyone involved. This week, we’re going a layer deeper. In this episode, Holding Space While Falling Apart, I’m opening up about the reality of showing up for others on the days when I’m not at my best. The days when life feels heavy, emotions are close to the surface, and the idea of “holding it all together” feels nearly impossible. We talk about what it means to work with clients in those moments—when the mask slips, when authenticity takes the lead, and when being human becomes part of the healing process. Because the truth is, I’m not always perfectly grounded—and maybe I’m not meant to be. There’s something powerful about allowing clients to witness the real, unfiltered version of me (within safe and appropriate boundaries), and trusting that the space we’ve built together can hold both of us. This episode is raw, honest, and a reminder that healing isn’t about perfection—it’s about presence. And sometimes, presence looks like taking a breath, finding your footing again, and letting yourself be seen in the middle of it all.

The Season That Shaped Us- Season 1 Finale

Episode 17: The Season That Shaped Us | Season 1 Finale As we gather in the Hobbit Hole one last time for Season 1, we're taking a moment to look back on the stories that brought us here. From heartfelt conversations and unforgettable guests to the unexpected lessons hidden in everyday moments, this season has been so much more than a podcast—it has been a journey of growth, reflection, and becoming. In this season finale, I'm sharing what creating The Haven Within has taught me, the ways it's helped me find clarity in the chaos, and the pieces of myself I've discovered along the way. We'll revisit some of the guests and moments that left their mark, check in on life beyond the microphone as we prepare for our upcoming open house, and tease a few of the stories and cliffhangers that aren't quite finished yet. Because some chapters close with all the answers... and others simply hand us a lantern for the road ahead. Thank you for pulling up a chair, pouring a cup of tea, and spending this season with me. Season 2 is just over the horizon, and trust me—you won't want to miss what's coming next.

Chaos Check-In with Brett

Brett is back in the Hobbit Hole for a little chaos check-in, and honestly... there's a lot going on. With the Magnolia Massage Haven Open House just days away, we're talking about the excitement, stress, and behind-the-scenes reality of preparing for a big milestone. We also revisit some of the conversations from our last relationship episode, sharing what life has looked like since then, the lessons we're learning, and what it means to continue growing together through the everyday chaos. As we near the end of Season 1, this episode feels a bit like sitting down with old friends for a catch-up over a cup of tea—equal parts laughter, reflection, and honest conversation about what life looks like right now. So grab your favorite drink, get comfortable, and join us in the Hobbit Hole for one of the final conversations of Season 1.

Cracks in the Conversation

Welcome to the first episode of our new mini-series from inside the adjustment room. In this cozy and candid conversation, I’m joined by my chiropractor as we dive into one of the biggest misconceptions surrounding chiropractic care: what people think chiropractic actually is versus what it truly can be. While I’m getting adjusted in real time, we talk through the fears, myths, misunderstandings, and assumptions people often carry about chiropractic work — and why so many people are surprised once they finally experience it for themselves. This episode is all about curiosity, education, and opening the door to a different way of viewing healing and body care. So settle into the Hobbit Hole with us as we begin this new series one crack, pop, and conversation at a time.

episode Planting Seeds in the Haven artwork

Planting Seeds in the Haven

After a few heavier weeks in the Hobbit Hole — conversations around boundaries, burnout, hard days, and the reality of holding space for others while learning to hold ourselves together — this week’s episode shifts into something softer, hopeful, and deeply exciting. In Planting Seeds in the Haven, I’m opening the door to what’s next. We talk about the big move happening June 1st, the vision that’s been quietly growing behind the scenes, and the future of Magnolia Massage Haven and Energy Work. This episode is all about expansion — not just physically, but emotionally, spiritually, and within the community we’re building together. We dive into the dream of creating a true wellness center: a space where healing is approached as a whole-body experience through massage therapy, yoga, meditation, reiki, sound baths, workshops, and functional movement training. A place where people feel supported not only when they’re hurting, but also while they’re growing. These are the first seeds being planted for something much bigger than a massage room. This is the beginning of a haven built with intention, community, and care at the center of it all. So grab your tea, settle into your favorite cozy corner, and join me in the Hobbit Hole for a conversation about growth, dreams, and the beautiful — and sometimes terrifying — process of building something meaningful from the ground up.
