Who Is God? Pt. 2

Who Is God? Part 2 : Jesus In this episode of The Heart Soul Mind Collective, Moses continues the journey by stepping into the most influential and controversial chapter in Christian theology: Jesus Rather than starting with conclusions, this episode traces the world Jesus entered: a landscape shaped by exile, empire, revolution, philosophy, and religious fragmentation. From Persian restoration to Greek metaphysics, from Roman occupation to messianic urgency, we explore how history, culture, and politics shaped both what people expected from God and how they interpreted Jesus once he appeared. From there, we examine Jesus himself—not as a later theological system, but as a first-century Jewish teacher whose core message centered on the Kingdom of God, radical love, and transformed living. We ask hard but necessary questions: What did Jesus actually teach? What did he not teach? God has not changed. But our understanding of Him always has. Welcome back to the Collective. Let’s keep rebuilding something real.

Who Is God? Pt. 1

In the season 2 premiere of The Heart Soul Mind Collective, Moses dives straight into one of the biggest, most avoided, and most misunderstood questions in all of faith: Who is God, really? This episode journeys through the historical, archaeological, and theological evolution of Israel’s understanding of God, from ancient Canaanite religion and Bronze Age pantheons, to the rise of Yahweh, to the exile, Second Temple Judaism, and early Christianity. With clarity and honesty, Moses explores how ancient people perceived God, how those perceptions changed, and why the Bible can sound unified even though history clearly shows a long, winding development of belief. But this isn’t a “tear-it-all-down” deconstruction episode. It’s a reconstruction. A place for the intellectually curious, the spiritually wounded, and the church-shy to rediscover a God who has always been one, always been love, and always been reaching for humanity even when humanity misunderstood Him. Along the way we discuss: • How Israel’s early theology emerged from a shared Ancient Near Eastern worldview • Why Yahweh and El were once distinct deities • How exile reshaped monotheism • Why the Old Testament sounds unified even after centuries of development • Why spiritual experiences can be real even when interpretations aren’t perfect If God is infinite, then of course our understanding of Him will evolve. The story of Scripture isn’t the story of a changing God, it’s the story of changing humans learning to see Him more clearly. Welcome to the Collective. Let’s rebuild something real.
