Welcome to a new series we are hosting called Ask Anything! Join pastors Jason Fisher and Blake Williams from Heritage Church as they tackle real questions from their congregation about navigating faith in community. In this episode, they dive into five thought-provoking questions about discipleship, doubt, and relationships: • How should we engage with believers who question the Bible's consistency?• How do you disciple someone who questions that Jesus is the only way?• How can we lovingly engage people who have fallen deeply into sin?• What's the balance between pointing out lifestyle sins and giving space for growth?• When convictions differ from loved ones, how do you maintain relationship? Jason and Blake explore how to walk alongside others in faith—whether they're wrestling with doubts, living in sin, or holding different convictions. They emphasize the importance of understanding before correcting, letting the Holy Spirit do His work, and maintaining "soft hearts with steel spines". This conversation is for anyone seeking to love well, disciple faithfully, and navigate the messy, beautiful reality of life in Christian community.

Ask Anything: Salvation

Blake and Jason continue to address questions from the Ask Anything Sunday. In this podcast episode they discuss questions having to do with salvation through Jesus Christ. ------ Ever felt like you're at the bottom of the pool, unable to save yourself? That's exactly where we all are without Christ. Just like a child standing helpless underwater, we can do nothing to earn our salvation - it's purely God's grace reaching down to rescue us. This week Blake & Jason tackled tough questions about salvation: Can terrible people be saved on their deathbed? Can we lose our salvation? What does it mean to be "elect"? The answer points us back to the thief on the cross who could do nothing but trust Jesus - and received paradise. Our salvation isn't about our goodness; it's about God's grace. We're held secure in the palm of the One who holds the oceans. Saving faith means knowing Christ, believing the truth, and actually trusting Him with your whole life. And yes - joy should naturally flow from that relationship. Not manufactured happiness, but deep contentment even in storms. You can't save yourself. But you can trust the One who can.

Ask Anything: Suffering

Welcome to a new series we are hosting called Ask Anything! Join pastors Jason Fisher and Blake Williams from Heritage Church as they tackle real questions from their congregation about navigating faith in community. In this episode, Jason and Blake tackle some of the most difficult and personal questions Christians face: Why does a good, loving God allow suffering and evil, and why do bad things—like illness and loss—happen even to people who love Him? Drawing from Genesis, Job, John 9, Romans 8, and Hebrews 12, they explore the reality of living in a fallen world, the difference between ordinary suffering and suffering for Christ, and how God refuses to waste our pain but instead uses it to shape us into the likeness of Jesus. They emphasize God’s presence with us in our suffering, pointing to the cross as the ultimate example of God entering into human pain. The conversation then turns to prayer, especially in seasons of hardship: How do we know God hears us, and what is actually happening when we pray? Jason and Blake discuss Jesus as our high priest, the Spirit interceding for us, and the way prayer not only asks God for help but also reshapes our hearts and loosens our grip on control.
