Episode 17 - Rev. Dr. Joel Biermann - The Chaos of Loving Your Neighbor

Have you ever wondered what Christianity says about HOW to think rather than WHAT to think? Perhaps you've wondered about being Christian and being American and how those two identities interact or perhaps even conflict with one another. We've got some answers for you because we're back with the first of two installments of our conversation with Dr. Biermann! Rev. Dr. Joel Biermann is the Waldemar A. and June Schuette Professor of Systematic Theology at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. He's been a faculty member since 2002, Biermann teaches doctrinal theology with a special interest and emphasis centered on ethics and the correct role of the Law in the life of the believer. In the first part of this conversation with Dr. Biermann, we begin to dig into the subject of Systematic Theology, Christian Virtue Ethics, and how those two things affect our lives practically.
