Matt Cooper is a referee, girls football coach and former goalkeeper. After a long career in Tiers 4-8 of Welsh Football, Matt retired and took up the whistle.  He is now possibly the most prolific referee in South Wales, often refereeing up to 4 games in a single weekend - fitting in his role as coach of a highly successful girls football team to boot. From the creation and rise through the levels of FC Portos before their ill fated merger with Grange Quins to the meteoric and unmatched rise of STM Sports from the Sunday Leagues to Tier 2 and a televised National Cup final, Nigel has lived an incredible life at the heartbeat at some of South Wales' most compelling stories. Nigel has also served at Goytre (Gwent), Cardiff Corinthians, Canton & now Taffs Well.
