Descripción

Welcome to The Hope Debrief. In this episode, we’re joined by Dr. Melinda Moore—a licensed clinical psychologist, researcher, and one of the nation’s leading experts in suicide bereavement and postvention. Dr. Moore has spent much of her career exploring how people move forward after traumatic loss, with a particular focus on posttraumatic growth—the profound ways individuals can grow through grief, rather than simply recover from it. Her work, including research with military families and suicide loss survivors, offers both evidence and encouragement that meaning, resilience, and renewed purpose are possible—even after devastating loss. In today’s conversation, we’ll explore the pathways of posttraumatic growth, the role of peer support, and how survivors can find healing and hope by helping others.
