16 | Do This to Live Lighter, Trust in God and Calm Your Overwhelmed Mind

Do you feel overburdened mentally and physically with a list of to-dos that all feels urgent, a packed schedule, and so many worries that you just wish you could lay down? You're carrying more than you're meant to, and there is rest for you. If you're like me, you really want a life with more peace, purpose, and margin—choosing intentionally instead of taking on what's not for you.  In this episode I share: - Why we should remember life is fleeting - The importance of an eternal mindset - How to shift your focus from overwhelm to what truly matters - How to self-assess right now, if you're living like you really want to (and what to do about it) - Ways to help you implement and live intentionally with more joy and trust in God - A reminder of the power of gratitude    Stop the cycle of overwhelm and anxiety with God's perspective, and re-orient right now. Love you and thanks for being here. I pray this encourages you today! -Hannah   Disclaimer: This podcast is for faith-based encouragement and informational purposes only. episode 15 | Take Every Thought Captive: Biblical Encouragement for Christian Moms Conquering Anxious Thoughts artwork

15 | Take Every Thought Captive: Biblical Encouragement for Christian Moms Conquering Anxious Thoughts

One of the most exciting things I've learned in recent years is that we are not stuck with the brain or thoughts that we currently have. Actually I just heard a neurosurgeon, Dr. Lee Warren say 80% of our thoughts every day aren't even true. Wow.  There is true relief in challenging your thoughts and God has given us the agency to evaluate our thoughts about what's actually true and to rewire our brain with new thoughts — and I love that this idea of neuroplasticity is what the Bible has said is true all along. You can choose to renew your mind by being in God's word and by choosing to take every thought captive.  This has been SO empowering, and my life is so different now because of it. I'm still on this journey, but I'm in awe of what God has already done through my obedience (not perfection) to surrender to Him (every lie and fear) as I continually practice taking them captive in Jesus name.  And I know this isn't easy but it isn't easy to stay stuck either. I'd rather choose the path that will get me somewhere good. And that's walking in more freedom in Christ.  I know what it's like to battle with intrusive thought OCD, and definitely negative thoughts and beliefs that have held me back for years. But now, I'm realizing how much freedom there is in this journey of surrendering it all to God — and once you do, fear begins to lose it's grip and you begin to experience hope and healing as you keep showing up, even when its hard. God is and always will be faithful to see you through it when you seek Him.  Love you friend, Hannah Disclaimer: This podcast is for faith-based encouragement and informational purposes only. 14 | Feeling Stressed and Anxious as a Busy Mom? 3 Simple Ways to Find Calm in Less Than 5 Minutes

If you're feeling the weight of overwhelm right now, I hope you'll take what you learn from this episode and put it into practice. It's a quick practice that in time will create a big shift in your life—in the way you feel about yourself and how you show up in hard moments. It brings you right to the Lord, reminding you of what matters most.  And motherhood and all of life is a blessing, but that doesn't mean it isn't heavy at times, so I hope my vulnerable moments help you remember that we are in this together friend! God has given us so much that is within our control, as far as how we choose to react and respond to the demands of motherhood and life. Let's do what we can, knowing and trusting that He will always meet us right where we are, ready to help in His great grace for us. Even in the messiest moments of anxiety.  Love, Hannah   Disclaimer: This podcast is for faith-based encouragement and informational purposes only. 13 | 4 Morning Habits For Stress Relief and Stronger Faith

Are you wanting to grow in your relationship with Jesus, to know and trust Him more but you keep feeling stuck, stagnant, inconsistent—or maybe just unsure of where to start? When I first started a quiet time with the Lord I was excited but also had a lot of questions, so I definitely get it.  Now, my morning routine is my priority and I'm just going to tell you that it's what helps my anxiety the most.  I'm proud to say my ADHD brain has made these 4 rhythms a consistent part of my life, and I had NO idea just how different my walk with the Lord would become once I really prioritized my time and relationship with Him.  This is not about doing anything perfectly.  It's about the posture of our hearts being centered on Jesus. The only one who is perfect and able to transform us by His word. Commit to 5 minutes if you need somewhere to start, but just do it. Jesus loves you more than you know, and He wants you to come to Him just as you are. I hope this encourages and blesses you.  Love you,  Hannah   Disclaimer: This podcast is for faith-based encouragement and informational purposes only.
