The Housewife Did It
In the late 1980s, a man named Wilbur Riddle was getting to know his soon-to-be son-in-law in Livingstron, TN by pulling out one of his best stories. It had, over time, begun to become an urban legend in their small Kentucky town. But, Wilbur was THERE. He knew the real story. In May of 1968, Wilbur Riddle was scavenging for glass insulators along Route 25 in Kentucky, in an attempt to help his friend who was using them for an art project. As he was looking, he came upon what seemed like a large tent wrapped up on the side of the road. As he got closer, he nudged the tent with his foot, and was overcome by the smell of decay, and it became clear that Wilbur had actually found the decomposing body of a woman wrapped in a heavy green tarp.
