Major Deepak Iyer is an Indian Army Special Forces Veteran. He blends his knowledge from commando operations, strategy consulting, company transformation, and entrepreneurship to generate astounding business results. Deepak began his career as a Special Forces officer in the Indian Army in 2000, where he led commandos in life-or-death combat scenarios in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K). During his service, he assisted his battalion in making history by receiving the Indian Army's "Best Unit" award for operational excellence in J&K three times. Deepak holds an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad and a BA in Military Sciences from the NDA in Khadakwasla. In addition, he completed a Leadership Development Program at Columbia Business School in New York, USA. Deepak has also been a TED-X speaker, a guest lecturer at IIM Bangalore's Colloquium event, and a coach for a Ranji cricket team. He is a passionate Vipassana practitioner. He is a Member of General Body and Governing Council of Maharashtra State Innovation Society. He is on the National Advisory Board of SME Chamber of India and the Honorary Executive Chairman of Start-ups council of India. He was heading Ecosystem & Partnerships at RIL's GenNext Venture Fund and Jio-GenNext Innovation Hub.
