Hey guys! Welcome back! I really love where today's episode has taken us and I hope you do to! Parables are my favorite, and although I hadn't read this one prior to researching and writing today's episode, it really hit home. Justice and Prayer go hand in hand. We can't have one without the other but we can't live in the spirit of prayer if we don't take the time to listen to what God is saying. 10 Bad Girls of the Bible: Eve

After taking a LONG hiatus to gather my thoughts and ideas and plans for the Interrupted Life Podcast, I'M BACK! We're going to spend the next 10 weeks looking at women in the Bible who made the Top 10 Bad Girls of the Bible list, starting with Eve. She was the first woman, wife, and mother. She was also the first to sin. Her decision, whether it was intentionally bad or misguided, was the beginning catapult for the fall of man. Due to her blatant disregard for God's command and Adam's subsequent sin, things changed forever and we no longer live in Eden. HOWEVER, there are things to be learned from her mistake. Sit back, take a listen, and turn to Genesis 3 as we learn about what landed Eve on the list. Rain Fire & Woe - Elijah and Depression

Elijah, and many other Godly men in the Bible, experienced depression. And God gives us their accounts to help us better understand human sadness and how we can move on from that valley and to the mountaintop because just like God had a purpose for them, He has a purpose for us. Today, we're going to look at Elijah and his ministry which spans multiple chapters in 1 Kings and 2 Kings. We'll talk about his highs and his lows and how God brought him out of that depression to fulfill his purpose. We'll take a look at what we can learn from Elijah's battle with depression and how we too, can move from the valley to the mountaintop. If you find yourself struggling with depression or having suicidal thoughts, please reach out to a trusted individual or call the National Suicide Hotline at 800-273-8255.
