Descripción

When I was in the final year of my MS degree, I had no mentorship or idea on how to prepare myself for PhD programs or finding jobs after graduation. After 11 years of still figuring out on how to navigate through scientific job market, I have prepared a list of "5 Important Things" that you need to start working on as soon as you enter your final year. These 5 things have helped me in preparing myself to compete in the academic and non-academic job market. All the Best Graduates!!!! I want to thank Kevin Montgomery [https://www.linkedin.com/in/ACoAAAGg9I0B7bt5gzv7omrbDWHulqtUklul2T4/] for helping me in recording this episode.

Bonus Ep 2: A Chat with a Scientific Consultant

In this Bonus Episode, I have brought my closest friend Matharishwan (Matha) Naganbabu [https://www.linkedin.com/in/ACoAAAbfwaMBvKxBCil9kZK9u__xhAmd5BLgQzw/], PhD to talk about his journey of transitioning from a chemist to a Scientific Consultant. We talk in details about his trajectory on how he build his resume, tackled with a business scholarship while completing his PhD, his postdoc experience, his struggle as an international student and landing his dream job of becoming a Scientific Consultant.  Matha has started his own podcast series called the Scientific Entrepreneurship (available on Anchor.fm, iTunes and Spotify). You can contact Matha at https://www.matharishwan.com/ [https://www.matharishwan.com/] or @MathaCMU (Twitter) I want to thank Kevin Montgomery [https://www.linkedin.com/in/ACoAAAGg9I0B7bt5gzv7omrbDWHulqtUklul2T4/] for helping me in editing this episode.
