The Kindness Posse
March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, and in this powerful episode of The Kindness Posse, Natalie shares a deeply personal story about living with Lynch Syndrome — a hereditary condition that has affected multiple members of her family. Natalie’s father died from cancer in 1974. Her sister Betsy passed away from ovarian cancer in 1999. Another sister, Bernice, was diagnosed with endometrial cancer in 2008. Natalie herself was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2005/2006. In this conversation, Natalie opens up about what it means to carry a genetic cancer syndrome, the fear and strength that comes with it, and how a family can face unimaginable loss while still choosing courage, awareness, and hope. By sharing her story, Natalie hopes to raise awareness about Lynch Syndrome and the importance of genetic testing, early screening, and family conversations that can save lives. If this story moves you, please consider sharing it. You never know who might see it and decide to get screened or learn more about their family history. ⚠️ Content Note: This episode includes discussion of cancer, illness, and loss.
