episode Alan Michael artwork

Alan Michael

Alan Michael is a Scottish Painter based in London. Alan explores the intersection of fact and fiction, image production, and the ever-changing nature of cities. His works depict urban life as a space where numerous thoughts and ideas coexist, interact, and change. By using language and fragments of images in his paintings, he decontextualizes the original meaning and subtly shifts attention. His work challenges the linear evolution of visual culture and embraces the collision of various influences and cultural references. We discuss several specific shows such as ones "London Foam", "Matchmakers", "Wonder Workers" and ones held at Jans Kaps & Jennys New York. Other topics like Alans Collabrative Publication with Artist Lucy McKenzie "Unlawful Assembly" & his ideation and process for each of his project's are also explored as well as much more.

episode Charlie Fox artwork

Charlie Fox

For our second episode we had the privilege of chatting to Charlie Fox. Charlie is a writer and curator based in London. His First Publication “This Young Monster” released in 2017 by Fitzcaraldo Editions. An unrelenting crash course in celebrating beloved figures of the transgressive persuasion within the arts. Charlie curated one of the best exhibitions to grace mainland UK in the last decade (in our humble opinion) back in 2019, Titled “My Head is a Haunted House” , a twisted step sister to succeed “This Young Monster”. Held at Sadie Cole’s HQ , the exhibition was a putridly articulate plethora of all things horror adjacent within Painting, Sculpture, video & more. We spoke about “My Head is a Haunted House”, Matthew Barney, Collaboration between artists, all things horror & much more
