This year 2021 has seen the violent murder of trans and gender non conforming people rise by more than 300%. We are only in May at the time of recording this. I fear by the time I upload and publish this episode, there will be other names to add. We cannot continue to allow our country to see the death of its citizens and do nothing. This is why I am starting the Lavender campaign. the stories of GRSM/LGBTQIA+ individuals is important and plays a special role in changing how society views us. Right now, our country is split on these issues, and our stories may be more important than ever. The goal of THE LAVENDER CAMPAIGN is to interview over 1,000 LGBTQIA+ individuals, to give them a platform to share their stories, while also offering educational content that promotes advocacy and dialogue on the important issues facing our community.
