In this message, "Think Like a Man," we confront the lie that men have given up on loving God, honoring their families, and leading their homes. Paul's charge in 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 becomes the framework for what it means to live as a Kingdom Man, someone who consistently aligns his personal, family, church, and societal life under the authority of God. The truth lands hard and simple: you are whatever you do consistently, not what you do occasionally. We walk through four marks of Kingdom manhood, standing on guard, staying firm in faith, growing in maturity, and walking in strength, while pushing back on a culture that tries to water down masculine identity with confusion and compromise. Drawing from David's story, we see that courage may start alone but it is sustained in community, and the message closes with a call to lead in prayer and lead in practice, because a child's view of God is often shaped by their view of their father. Winning Another Way // Vernon Gordon

In this message, "Winning Another Way" we examine what it looks like to grieve the losses that come with change and then find the courage to move forward anyway. Drawing from 1 Samuel 16:1–2, we sit with Samuel in a moment of prolonged mourning, where God interrupts his grief with a simple but searching question: "How long will you mourn?" Samuel's attachment to Saul had become a liability, and this message names the quiet but costly patterns that keep us stuck, particularly the four expressions of codependence: the Caretaker, the Enabler, the Controller, and the People-Pleaser. Rooted in Galatians 1:10 and the backstory of 1 Samuel 13, we see that Saul lost the hand of God while trying to honor God, which means disobedience can carry good intentions, and loyalty can quietly become a missed assignment. The sermon lands on three summer practices of change, all grounded in prayer: Pausing, to give yourself permission to press pause and recover your interior life; Pruning, drawn from John 15:1–2, to release what is healthy but not best, sick and not recovering, or dead and no longer life-giving; and Praying, not as a substitute for obedience but as the posture that renews our affection for God. Hand Me The Mirror // Quita Coleman // Hidden Figures

In this message, "Hand Me the Mirror," we are invited to stop tracking everyone else and honestly ask: where am I with God? Rooted in the account of the women at the cross in Matthew 27:54–56 and the resurrection encounter in John 20:11–16, this message traces the devotion of Mary Magdalene from the crucifixion to the empty tomb. We are reminded that Mary's story doesn't begin at the tomb but at her encounter with Jesus, the one who cast out seven demons and gave her a new name, a new identity defined not by her past but by the One who set her free. Drawing from Matthew 28:8–9, we see that true devotion is not measured by church attendance, Christian language, or worship playlists, but by what stays near Jesus when the cost is real. The cross was lonely, but it was not abandoned, and the Gospel writers were intentional in highlighting that the women remained. This message closes with a simple, searching prayer: God, hand me the mirror. Show me where devotion has become transactional, where I've drifted from nearness, and whether, when the crowd leaves and the music stops, I can still be found near You, like Mary.
