THE LINK: Bridging Faith and Life with Dr. Vincent Bacote
Welcome to THE LINK: Bridging Faith and Life with Dr. Vincent Bacote! Every month, Dr. Bacote will introduce listeners to ways they can build connections between faith and life in their ministries and personal lives. This month Dr. Bacote discusses how the word "evangelical" has been in considerable distress in the last decade and many find it no longer useful. He proposes an alternative to discarding "evangelical" in part one of a two part series on the crisis facing this term and the movement associated with it. Romans 10:15 is the verse used in this month's podcast as Dr. Bacote presents the beginning of his thoughts on this topic. A question for listeners: If you have ever considered yourself an evangelical, do you find the term helpful, no longer useful, or something else? Dr. Bacote is a professor of theology and the director of the Center for Applied Christian Ethics at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois.
