Descripción

In this monthly episode of The Energised Woman Podcast with Jo & Han we dive into the complicated relationships we can have as women with our bodies and how we choose to move them. If you are anything like us, growing up in the 90s we were told that we needed to exercise to minimise our bodies. In our 40s we are unlearning and unpicking all of that and learning to move because we love our bodies. Join us as we share openly and vulnerably about the struggles and challenges we have worked through and are still wrestling with to feel good in our bodies and take care of them to feel good not just look good. episode 53. Navigating Friendships artwork

53. Navigating Friendships

Join our monthly chat with pals Han & Jo as we overshare about all things mid life, wellbeing, faith, relationships and juggling the mental load. On this month's episode we look at the blessings & challenges of navigating friendships. What do we do when friendships end or feel hard? How do we make time for friends when life is busy and why is it important? How does our faith inform our friendships? One thing we are sure of is that friendships are worth it. They are the icing on the cake of the crazy ride of mid life and beyond and they are worth our time and investment. I'm so grateful for my friendship with Hannah and for the friends who have been in my life for a little time and a long time and everything they have taught me and added to my life. We hope you enjoy listening! episode 52. How ON EARTH are we supposed to do it all?! artwork

52. How ON EARTH are we supposed to do it all?!

- Jobs - Businesses - Kids - Partners - Parents Then on top of ALL of that we're meant to find time to meal prep, strength train, sleep for 8 hours a night, drink 2L of water, see our friends and get enough protein. Like what the heck?! On this episode of The Energised Women I ask how on EARTH we are meant to do it all as busy women? How are we supposed to take care of everything else as well as our mid life wellbeing? Spolier alert - we can't and we're not meant to - phew right? But we do still want and derserve to show up and take care of ourselves, we just can't do everything all at once. Join me as I share my simple strategy for prioritising ourselves in the midst of busy lives, picking our battles and saying no more so that we can live more alive. episode 50. How to Eat for Your Cycle artwork

50. How to Eat for Your Cycle

We all know that what we eat can support our hormones and energy but it can get super confusing knowing exactly what to eat at each part of our cycle to feel our best as busy women That’s why I’ve summarised what I do in this short snappy episode, so save it to come back to when you need it! Listen in as I share simple things to add in at different parts of our cycle that will help to alleviate the more challenging symptoms of our cycle - cramps, low mood & energy, and help us maximise our energy when our hormones are peaking. I also touch on how to move and rest to match our cycle - we are not machines and when we understand and support our cycles we can feel at our best at each stage. These simple habits will also help us at perimenopause and beyond! I'd love to hear your takaways from today's epsidode so let me know how you're implementing them and what is making a difference.
