çhâñt élečtrónïqùe [https://www.chantelectronique.com/] is a pan-European collective blending polyphonic singing and electronic instruments, made up of musicians from France, Croatia, Portugal, Ireland and Bosnia-Herzegovina. I interviewed them last September, just before their concert in Brussels, where çhâñt élečtrónïqùe presented a couple of new tracks. Marina Herlop

An interview with Marina Herlop, a Catalan singer-songwriter with classical training dabbling with experimental music, electronic sounds and traditional vocal techniques. This interview was recorded in the basement of the beautiful church Notre Dame de Laeken, right before her solo concert organized by Botanique in the framework of Listen Festival in Brussels. Melenas

An interview with Melenas, a rock band from Pamplona in Spain. Last year, the four women released Ahora [https://open.spotify.com/intl-fr/album/6T9eevf9e0eI2S7kM3oj9A?si=mpy3Om9vQ3OnsrGwtWON4A], an excellent dream pop album released on Trouble in Mind Records. I had the chance to talk with Melenas at Botanique in Brussels during Europavox Festival [https://www.europavox.com], where they played with plenty of bands from all around Europe. Sarah Davachi

Sarah Davachi is an experimental musician specialized in the study of timbre and space. She mainly plays long, minimalist drones on the organ or synthesizers. Hailing from Calgary, Canada, she now lives in California where she completed her doctorate in musicology. Extremely prolific, she has released more than ten albums in a few years, not counting live performances, cassettes, soundtracks and other compilations. As part of the Nuits du Botanique festival, Sarah Davachi [https://www.sarahdavachi.com/] played earlier this year on the organ of the Dominican church in Brussels. In her improvised green room, we talked about what pop music can learn from Renaissance music, playing in churches, Bandcamp and her new instrument: the Berkeley gamelan. Tracklist 1. Mabe Fratti

For the first episode of The Locomotion in English, we interviewed the cellist Mabe Fratti, born in Guatemala, but now in Mexico, who performed last August during the festival Feeërieën organized in Brussels’ Parc Royal by Ancienne Belgique. Her rather calm last album, Se Ve Desde Aqui [https://tinangelrecords.bandcamp.com/album/se-ve-desde-aqu], contrasts with the formula presented on stage, much more electric, as a trio with her drummer and her guitarist.
