Tried, Tested and True: what do we know about cancer treatment, our cancer genes and cancer advocacy

*The content shared here is not meant to be a replacement for medical advice. Please reach out to your practitioner for any health related concerns* Michelle Morand is one of the most enthusiastic and passion advocates in the cancer space. She has had over 25 years as an entrepreneur and clinical counsellor and has devoted the last 11 years to empowering and educating cancer patients to become advocates in their own health. With her team of scientists and researchers, Michelle uses the most up to date knowledge especially in genetics to help patients find the most relevant treatments. But Michelle's transition into the cancer space is a story many of us who have been touched by cancer know too well, Michelle's beloved Uncle fell ill with cancer and after she had spent her time doing the research and pulling up treatment options that might work, she met hesitation from her Uncle's oncologist as the treatments were too knew and not much was known. Michelle's Uncle sadly passed and left her with a mission to not only share knowledge with patients but with their oncologists to effectively drive the best possible outcome for a patient. This episode is tried, tested and true: what do we know about cancer treatment, genes and how we take the step in advocating for our health.

Take your best shot (vaccines and other non-invasive treatment options)

Hannah Sharpe (a life science student with a background in neurology and microbiology) explains other non-invasive therapy and research happening in the COVID-19 space. She's helping patients understand vaccines (and other treatments) when it comes to COVID-19.   If you're curious or questioning about a treatment, dig further for resources (we recommend academic resources or ones coming from the researchers running the study you'd like to know more about).
