The response of UNC to the COVID-19 pandemic has been a disappointment to students, parents, faculty, and community members. I discuss what led to the disaster that was UNC’s campus reopening, the harm this has caused students, and the extremity of COVID-19 clusters at UNC. Then, EPA epidemiologist Jason Kovylanski shares the results of three different studies that discuss the effectiveness of clinical drugs used to treat the virus. It hasn’t been a great day to be a Tar Heel lately, but if we hold those in charge accountable for their actions and individually do our part to flatten the COVID-19 curve, the return to normalcy may come sooner. The campus Y has been a hub for social justice at Chapel Hill for 160 years and houses over thirty different organizations that aim to inspire change. Finally, the co-founders of UNC DOTS talk about the organization.
