Descripción

Today I'm opening up about a decision I never thought I’d make: starting a GLP-1.  I  share the full, unfiltered journey behind it. I talk through my initial fear and judgment, what finally shifted my perspective, and why I chose to use this as a tool in this season of my life despite being a coach. I break down what GLP-1s actually are and how they work, while also diving into the realities of fat loss, muscle and bone health, and the importance of using this tool responsibly.  My life, body, and priorities have changed over the past year, and I want to talk about why fat loss feels different for me right now, and what I’ve learned from both my own experience and my clients. We get into the biggest misconceptions, how to approach this in a healthy and sustainable way, and why building habits, understanding nutrition, and strength training matter more than ever. I also talk about the shame and stigma surrounding this topic, especially for women, and why I believe we need more honest conversations like this. Why you always forget to do what you KNOW you're supposed to do

What if the reason you can't stay consistent has nothing to do with motivation or discipline? If you've ever wondered, "Why do I know exactly what I should do... but somehow I never actually do it?".... this episode is for you. Today, I'm breaking down one of the biggest mindset shifts I've ever taught inside my coaching programs: how your brain builds habits, why you keep falling back into old patterns, and what it actually takes to change them. We're diving into concepts like neuroplasticity and neural pathways, but don't worry, I'm explaining them in normal human language (with a visual analogy you'll never forget). If you're trying to stay consistent with your workouts, nutrition, confidence, relationships, or simply become the version of yourself you know you're capable of being, this episode will help you understand why change feels so hard, and how to make it easier. You'll learn why "forgetting" your habits isn't actually the problem, how stress and overwhelm shrink your mental bandwidth, and why filling your own cup isn't selfish: it's the key to creating lasting change. If you're tired of starting over, this episode might completely change the way you think about self-discipline forever. If this episode resonated with you, send me a DM on Instagram and let me know your biggest takeaway. I love hearing from you and having these conversations together. In this episode, we cover: * Why you keep falling back into old habits * The science of neuroplasticity (without the confusing jargon) * A simple analogy that explains how your brain creates lasting change * Why stress, exhaustion, and overwhelm sabotage consistency * How to create more mental bandwidth * Practical ways to "fill your cup" every day * The real secret behind lasting habit change and becoming your highest self Join my community: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/christyleefit/ [https://www.instagram.com/christyleefit/] Need help with your goals in 2026? Vulnerable: What has actually changed since I've lost weight

What if losing weight isn't about shrinking yourself, but about getting your life back? For a long time, I felt like I was surviving instead of living. After my divorce, I gained weight while navigating one of the hardest seasons of my life, and while I don't regret doing what I needed to do to make it through, I can't ignore how much that extra weight impacted my confidence, my relationships, my sex life, my self-expression, and even my ability to move comfortably in my own body. In this vulnerable, unscripted episode, I'm sharing what life was really like during that season, what changed when I finally felt ready to focus on my health again, and why I think we've become a little too comfortable pretending weight loss doesn't matter when deep down, for many of us, it does. If you've ever felt uncomfortable in your body, avoided photos, dreaded getting dressed, struggled with confidence, or wondered whether getting fitter would actually make a difference in your life, this conversation is for you. In This Episode: * My divorce, survival mode, and gaining weight * The emotional toll of feeling uncomfortable in my body * Why confidence isn't just about appearance * How weight loss impacted my dating life and sex life * The surprising physical changes that happened with losing just a little weight * Why I believe we need to stop pretending weight loss doesn't matter * How to keep moving forward even during difficult seasons of life Chapters: 00:00 Welcome back & life update 03:15 Divorce, survival mode, and weight gain 08:20 The emotional impact of not recognizing myself 12:15 Dating, body image, and intimacy struggles 16:35 Deciding to focus on weight loss again 19:15 Confidence returning after just one month 22:00 Fashion, self-expression, and feeling like myself again 25:10 How weight loss changed my sex life 29:00 Moving easier, stretching easier, living easier 31:45 Why weight loss matters more than we're willing to admit 36:15 Stop pretending you don't care 39:30 How to prioritize your goals during hard seasons 43:10 Final thoughts & encouragement If this episode resonated with you, send me a DM on Instagram and let me know your biggest takeaway. episode How to lose fat if you're neurodivergent artwork

How to lose fat if you're neurodivergent

In this episode, I’m getting real about a tough week, experimenting with coming off medication, and how that experience sparked a deeper conversation around navigating fat loss with a neurodivergent brain. I share my own journey with anxiety, ADHD, OCD tendencies, and sobriety, and why “just be consistent” advice doesn’t work for so many of us. We dive into practical, realistic systems that actually support follow-through, like building lists that work with your brain, simplifying meal planning, using your calendar effectively, leaning on support, and focusing on small, momentum-building wins instead of all-or-nothing thinking. If you’ve ever felt frustrated trying to stay consistent with fitness or fat loss, this episode will help you feel seen, and give you tools to finally work with your brain instead of against it. episode What I wish we were taught in sex ed artwork

What I wish we were taught in sex ed

Growing up in the South, so much of my experience around puberty, sexuality, and relationships was rooted in shame, fear, and abstinence-only messaging, and I’m unpacking how that shaped my body image, beliefs about pleasure, and understanding of STIs, consent, and self-worth.  We talk about real anatomy (yes, including the clitoris), why pleasure doesn’t cancel out self-respect, how consent can change at any time, and why your sexual choices have nothing to do with your morality. This episode is about normalizing conversations around sex, dismantling shame, and creating a more confident, empowered relationship with your body and your desires.
